Girls Night Card Game Online

A girls night card game online for adults who want conversation cards without an app, a download, or a box on the coffee table. Open it in the browser, pass one phone, or leave one shared screen where everyone can hear the reader. The first 6 cards are free.

Play a girls night game online without a box

If you searched for a girls night game online, this is the free-to-start card game you open in the browser and play together. One person reveals a card. She reads it out loud. The group answers, points, or does one small thing that stays in the seat. Then the phone moves, or the same screen shows the next card. There is no room code, no profile, and no second device required for the people who are not reading.

It is an online alternative to a boxed girls-night card game: the prompts are dealt in the browser, so there is no box to pass around the sofa and nothing to download. The categories are the ones a conversation night actually uses: icebreakers, a vote, a confession, a choice, a truth, and one small challenge. The lines further down are examples you can read if you want a specific sentence. The buttons deal a shuffled deck so the host is not choosing the next card.

One reader is the whole kit

Brightness up. Do Not Disturb on, so a text does not become the next turn. Anyone may pass, with no reason, and the turn is over. Do not re-ask. Do not film. If a prompt is about someone who is not playing, it is a pass.

This page is the how-to for the card game itself. If you want each game written as rules, with player counts, what you need, and how many minutes it takes, use the girls night in games. If you are still deciding the food, the decor, and whether the night is a film or a pamper hour, that plan is the girls night ideas at home. A menu of ladies-night rounds, before you care which screen deals them, is the ladies night games. A mixed group of adult friends who just want to pass one phone is the fun games to play with friends on phone. If the room is still learning names, start with the icebreaker games for adults, then come back here for a louder category.

How to play a girls night card game online

The card changes. The way you deal it does not. Learn this once, then use it for every category below.

  1. Open one browser

On a phone, use Safari or Chrome and open the homepage. On a laptop, use the same link and leave the window large enough that the reader is not squinting. There is nothing to install and no account to make. The first 6 cards are free to start, which is enough for one short round while you decide if the group likes being dealt to. Set the phone or laptop to Do Not Disturb before the first card.

Best for: the thirty seconds before you start
  2. Pass one phone

This is the default when everyone is in the same room. The reader says the card out loud, including both choices when there are two. The group answers from their seats. They do not need to see the screen. Then the phone moves clockwise, unless someone asks to skip being the reader. The reader does not also explain the joke. If the room missed it, read it once more and move on. Three to eight adults is a comfortable circle for one voice. Past that, the person on the far cushion becomes an audience.

Best for: a sofa, a kitchen table, or a floor circle
  3. Or use one shared screen

Prop the phone where the reader can still be heard, open the game on a laptop on the coffee table, or cast the browser to a television. One person still reads the card aloud, because someone will be pouring a drink or sitting where the text is small. Do not make the group lean in to read it themselves. If you are not in the same room, stop using this setup and switch to the virtual girls night games: one person shares the browser on the video call, or each person opens the link on her own phone. Those two remote setups are not the same, and mixing them mid-round means two people answer a card nobody else heard.

Best for: a laptop, a cast TV, or a video call
  4. Six to eight cards, then decide

A round is about six to eight cards. Then switch categories, put the phone face down, or stop. A pass ends the card. Do not bargain a pass into a harder card, and do not re-ask it later as a dare. A challenge that needs a prop you do not have, a stranger, a camera, or a post is an automatic pass. Stop while people still want another card. The conversation after the deck is the point of a girls night, and the cards are the excuse to start it.

Best for: keeping the night a night

Sample prompts by category

Read these when you want a line the shuffle did not deal. They are not the cards in the deck. A pass still ends the turn. Skip any line that does not fit who actually came.

Icebreakers

One sentence each, including the host. Use this category while coats are still coming off, or when someone in the circle is new. The level can stay on Chill.

  1. What did you almost cancel tonight, in one sentence that is not an apology?
  2. Who picks what we watch or listen to, and who is happy to be handed a seat?
  3. What is already in this room that would make a stranger think they know us?
  4. What is one thing you want from the next hour that is smaller than a whole new week?

Play the Icebreakers deck

Most Likely To

Read the line. Count to three. Everyone points at the same time, including the reader. Point only at people who are playing. The person with the most fingers gets one sentence if she wants it. A tie can stand. More lines are on the Most Likely To questions page.

  1. Most likely to say the round is over and then ask what the next card was.
  2. Most likely to read a card in a voice that makes it sound like a news item.
  3. Most likely to hold the phone and forget to pass it until someone clears her throat.
  4. Most likely to vote for a spicy card and then be the first to pass when it appears.

Play the Most Likely To deck

Never Have I Ever

Read the card. Anyone who has done it says so. Do not demand the story. A person who has not done it stays quiet, and that is a full turn. Start on Chill or Fun. The written list is the Never Have I Ever questions.

  1. Never have I ever opened a game on my phone and then spent ten minutes choosing a different one.
  2. Never have I ever told this group I was staying in, then made other plans after I texted.
  3. Never have I ever hosted and apologised for the flat before anyone had a seat.
  4. Never have I ever reread a card because I hoped the second reading would be easier.

Play the Never Have I Ever deck

Would You Rather

Read the first choice, pause, then the second. Count to three. Left hand for the first, right hand for the second, or just say it. Saying neither is a pass. Keep any reason to one sentence. The written set is the would you rather questions. A faster fork, with no story, is the this or that questions for friends.

  1. Would you rather hold the phone for the whole round, or answer every card and never be the reader?
  2. Would you rather pick the next category, or pick the minute the round ends?
  3. Would you rather play on one phone passed around, or on a laptop nobody is allowed to touch?
  4. Would you rather take a truth you can answer in one sentence, or a challenge you can do from your seat?

Play the Would You Rather deck

Truth

The card is already a truth, so she does not pick truth or dare first. One or two sentences, or a pass. If the truth is about someone outside the room, she passes. Do not offer a harder question as a bargain. Written prompts with the same rule are on the truth or dare questions page. A slower set, with no score, is the deep questions to ask your friends.

  1. What did you need from tonight that you did not put in the group chat?
  2. Who here made it easier to come, and what did she actually do?
  3. What is a plan you will only say yes to if someone else organises it?
  4. What is a kind time for you to head out, said without turning it into a joke?

Play the Truth deck

One small challenge

Read one challenge. She does it, or she passes. Keep it in the seat: a voice, a toast, a ten-second bit. If it needs a prop you do not have, a stranger, a camera, or a post, skip the card. Nothing is filmed. The link selects only the Challenge deck. A guessing round with no dare is the two truths and a lie ideas. One friend in the chair is the hot seat questions for friends.

  1. Give a ten-second tour of one corner of the room, as if you were selling it to this group only.
  2. Compliment the person on your left with a detail from tonight, not a generic word.
  3. Read the next card in a whisper, then pass the phone without adding a warning.
  4. Toast the person who dealt the first card, in one sentence, then sit back down.

Tips that keep the card game a conversation

  1. Start where the newest person can play

If someone just met the group, the first cards should be answerable in one sentence. Open Icebreakers, play one lap, and leave Spicy off. Fun is fine for a group that has done this before. Spicy stays off until the whole circle, including the quietest person, asks for it. After Dark is a separate 18+ deck. The game asks you to confirm that everyone playing is old enough before those cards are included, and it is not the next step after a fun card. The 18+ question guide explains the opt-in.

    Best for: a mixed closeness
  2. Do not attach a drink halfway through

None of these cards need alcohol. Water, soda, and tea are full ways to play. If the group wants a sip, that rule belongs on the drinking games for girls night, agreed before the first card, and only if everyone drinking alcohol is of legal drinking age. Do not make someone drink to pass the phone, and do not make someone answer to avoid a sip.

Best for: a table with more than one kind of glass
  3. Switch the night shape when the cards are the wrong job

A dated night can borrow one online round and then use its own plan: Christmas, New Year's Eve, a birthday, Galentine's Day, Halloween, or Friendsgiving. A weekend away is the girls trip games. An overnight stay is the sleepover games for adults. A bottle on the table is the wine night games. A three-name bit is the kiss marry kill game. A whispered question and a coin is the paranoia questions game. Openers that are not a scored round are the conversation starters for friends. A small adult party plan is the party games for adults at home. If the phone dies, the games with no equipment still work, and the girls night questions to ask are the same conversation with no deck.

    Best for: after this round
  4. Only if the night is hers

Bride Mode is for a bride who wants a round about her, with the people who came for that. She can pass. A small hen do has its own list on the hen party games at home page. A family shower is the bridal shower games on phone. A hosting plan for a US bachelorette is the bachelorette games on one phone. The written bride prompts are the bachelorette party questions. The quiz of facts about her is how well do you know the bride. A one-to-one set, for after the group round, is the questions to ask your best friend.

How the buttons open the game

Each button on this page opens setup with that one deck already selected and the others switched off. The level starts on Fun. Drop it to Chill while people are still arriving, or if someone in the room is new. Spicy stays off until the whole group wants it. Pass the phone after each card, or leave the shared screen with the reader. The example lines on this page are not the cards in the deck. Read them when you want a specific game. Use the browser when you want the next line chosen for you.

You do not pay per player or per category. Pricing on this phone is the same as the rest of the site: first 6 cards free, full unlock one-time $4.99. It is not a subscription. The unlock stays on the browser that paid. Opening the same link on someone else's phone does not bring the purchase with it.

What kinds of prompts are in a girls night card game?

Icebreakers, most likely to, never have I ever, would you rather, truth, and a small challenge. The examples on this page are for reading aloud. The buttons deal a shuffled deck with that category already selected.
